Doodle for Google

Doodle 4 Google 2015 Competition

“If I could travel back in time I would...”

At Google, we like to reflect the ever-changing world of our users through the logo designs on our homepage. These ‘doodles’ celebrate different people, events or special dates and are designed by a team of Google Doodlers. We’re inviting school students in years 1-10 to sharpen their pencils, use their imagination and artistic talent to create a Google doodle depicting their vision for “If I could travel back in time I would...” The winning doodle will be shown on the Google homepage for a day for millions of New Zealanders to enjoy.

Here are our completed ones that we have sent in.  Mrs Gunn was so impressed with our very clever ideas - Fingers crossed we have some success!

Friend ship boxes

Recently room 14 made some friendship boxes. Your probably wondering what a friendship boxes are, well it's a  home made mail box made out of card. What we do is after we pack up our class we get a piece of paper and write a note about a class mate talking about something that they did today that ether helped you, supported you .....! We're so excited to start writing some note to our friends this afternoon!!!!

Cross country training

In four weeks we are doing Cross Country so every Monday and Thursday we train for cross country. On Monday we do skipping and on Thursday we do the Butterfly. Last Thursday we did the butterfly. In the butterfly is on the field and we split the field in half and the cricket pitch is the the middle. The right side of the field is the running side and the left side is the speed walking side when you get to the middle you have to sprint up to a teacher and get a mark on your hand in sharpie.

Erin and Dave Love our Cards!

In Room 14 we know how important it is to show our appreciation for people who do special things for for us.  We created some great cards to say thank you to all the people who helped to get Room 14 on T.V.
Dave the cameraman and Erin and the reporter from Seven Sharp have now received our thank you cards and really loved them!  Can you see how big their smiles are!
Great job the teams that created these cards for these special people!
